Statue of Maeheon Yun Bong-gil
Built on April 29, 1993, within Maeheon Citizens’ Forest to commemorate the 61st anniversary of the Shanghai Uprising. Yun Bong-gil sacrificed his life for the nation at the young age of 24, seeking national independence, world peace, equality, and freedom. On the right side of the pedestal is engraved the farewell poem he composed on April 26 after resolving to carry out the deed and completing his preliminary survey of Hongkou Park. On the left side appears the inscription "斯恩寔瞻" (meaning "To revere this noble grace"), accompanied by a relief depicting the moment he was taken into custody by the Japanese military police.

“Eternal Patriotism” Honorary Memorial Stele
Erected on April 29, 1992, in Maeheon Citizens’ Forest to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Patriotic Deed in Shanghai, honoring the noble patriotism of Yun Bong-gil.

Poetry Stele (Hakhaeng & Jangbuchulgasaengbulhwan)
Installed in 2024 to commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the Shanghai Uprising. This monument features two of Yun Bong-gil’s most significant writings: “Hakhaeng”, the poem with which he won first place in a poetry competition at the age of fourteen, and “Jangbuchulgasaengbulhwan” (“A man leaves home, never to return alive”), the phrase he wrote upon departing for exile.

Inspired by the March First Independence Movement, withdrew from Deoksan Public School in protest against colonial education.

Studied Chinese classics and poetry under scholar Seong Ju-rok at Ochiseosuk.

Received the pen name "Maeheon" from his teacher; established a night school for the rural enlightenment movement.

Compiled Nongmindokbon (Peasant Textbook) as educational materials for rural youth.

Wrote the Gisa Year Diary; organized Wichingye (youth society), Suam Sports Association, and Woljinhoe (rural enlightenment group). Staged the allegorical play The Rabbit and the Fox.

Left the phrase "Jangbuchulga Saengbulhwan" ("Once a brave young man filled with aspirations leaves his home, he will never return until he has achieved his goals") and went into exile in China.

Arrived in Shanghai. Organized the Korean Workers’ Association and collaborated with Provisional Government leaders.

Joined the Korean Patriotic Corps.

Carried out the bombing uprising at Hongkou Park victory celebration. Arrested at the scene.

Cairo Declaration promised Korean independence, citing the Shanghai Uprising.

Remains exhumed from Kanazawa, repatriated to Korea, and interred at Hyochang Park.

Posthumously awarded the Order of Merit for National Foundation (Republic of Korea Medal, First Class).
